Responsibilities:
  • Repair, patch and build hydraulic hoses in a timely and precise manner.
  • Resolve shop related tasks; basic plumbing parts, bearings, repair work
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of hydraulic hose sizes, threads, types and specs. Ability to understand technical aspects of hydraulic fittings, adapters, couplings, ferrules, connectors, general hardware bolts, nails, screws, lug nuts and others.
  • Understand the needs of every customer and help them find a solution for the type of hose they need built or the right product they need.
  • Operate hydraulic machinery.
  • Complete and process hose sales on a point-of-sale register.
  • Utilize tablets/computers for logging jobs and materials.
  • Be efficient and timely on hydraulic projects as well as other tasks.
  • Verify incoming hydraulic inventory, noting any issues and managing inventory.
  • Keep track of hydraulic inventory (fittings, hoses, etc.) and be able to create an order for out-of-stock items. May also track inventory and create orders for other store departments.
  • Stock and organize shop items and diligently work through each order to find any discrepancies and mistakes to report.
  • Keep track of personal hydraulic material waste.
  • Keep your work area organized, tidy and report any problems to management.
  • During every shift you are expected to be assisting customers, completing tasks and projects or at your designated working stations preparing for the next job.

Additional Responsibilities:
 
  • Fill propane tanks.
  • Assist customers with finding items they need throughout the store which includes general hardware in addition to hose assembly products.
  • Unload freight trucks.
  • Operating a forklift.
  • Answer phone calls.
  • Load culvert pipe and other products for customers.
  • Price new products and restock shelves.
  • Assemble shelving and store fixtures as needed
  • Stock and assemble in store displays
  • Address customers in professional manner. Have a well-groomed appearance. Have the ability to easily adapt. 
  • Any other tasks, projects or other work that is expected, requested and required.
 
Qualifications/Preferences:
 
  • General familiarity with machinery and farm equipment's. Required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and machinery skills. 
  • Familiarity with hardware tools, hoses, bolts, fittings and equipment. Required
  • Proficiency in computers, windows desktop and using point of sale systems. 
  • Be able and comfortable handling and processing cash, card and charge sales. Overall familiarity with computer technology.
  • Willingness to adhere to all policies set forth by Bradshaw Supply and to make this a career that you want to exceed in.
  • Forklift certification would be a PLUS but is not required. We offer forklift certification class reimbursement for an employee should the job require it.
  • Ability to handle heavy and oily objects. Required
  • Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 60Ibs regularly and 100Ibs occasionally during your shifts. Required
  • Ability to work timely in a fast-paced environment and remain adaptably diligent when you have multiple work orders due.
  • Ability to work in un-climate-controlled shop temperatures which varies per season. Required
  • Ability to navigate difficult customer requests, have special attention to details, be a self-starter and be diligent with scrap material. 

This position is for a person who does not have hydraulic experience but wants to learn the trade and is willing to learn this trade. Commission eligible after one year.
